A mystical place in New Zealand

Mystical places exude an energy all of their own. This is also true of Castle Hill, a very special place in New Zealand that I had the pleasure of visiting with my camera. The vast meadows in the Waimakariri Basin are crisscrossed by impressive limestone formations. The valley is framed by towering cliffs that rise from the ground like castle battlements. The impressive Castle Hill in Canterbury owes its name to this fact. It is located about 80 km inland from Christchurch in the direction of Arthur's Pass.

The light of knowledge

The smoothly polished rocks appealed to me in a special way. With a torch I made my way through the unique rock formations and could literally feel the vibrations of this impressive landscape. Even the Dalai Lama is said to have called this place the "center of the universe" - I am impressed and full of emotion. The rock feels smooth and supple under my hands, while my torch makes the rock formations glow. It seems like the glow of knowledge, while the darkness represents ignorance.

An inner glow for our mental balance

Light means hope and is the impetus for a happy existence. A look at this work should give the viewer hope and at the same time remind him that nature produces the most beautiful and valuable works of art. Smooth rocks, expressive shapes and a magic of light and shadow open a door for us into the world of spiritualism. It helps us to recharge our batteries and regain lost energy. For the Maori of the Ngai Tahu tribe this place has a very special meaning. Even their ancestors called this area "Kura Tawhiti", which means treasure from a distant land.

A place of power for the soul

Life is often a labyrinth of light and shadow - how good it is when a light shows us the way out of the darkness. The work MAORI SPIRIT gives hope and helps us to find our inner balance again. True happiness is in each of us - we only need to open our hearts to recognize it.
