Thick, cool fog swamps the air this early morning. In Vrindavan in northern India, three women in beautiful saris robes are returning from the banks of the holy river Yamuna at the Keshi Ghat. Yamuna is also the goddess of life. And like many devotees every day, they are coming from a religious ritual. They have offered little boats with flowers to the river and thus to the goddess of life. By doing so, they hope that their sorrows will be carried away and their sins washed away.
Focused upwards
The sight of this morning cult, as well as the power of the colors and the immense peace that emanates from the women, is magical. Even on their way back, they are still completely focused on their spiritual ritual. Calm of soul and still deep in thought, they climb the steps of the wide stone staircase from the bank of the river to the top.
Can you feel the tranquility of the scene?
Colors muted by the fog, but strong, and concentrated absorption: there has just been a letting go, a letting go of worries. Peace has come, peace for this day. Do you feel this peace?
The stream of time carries away the worries
Let this photograph take you to your place where you can leave your worries behind. To the place where trust in goodness prevails, in the certainty that each day is a new beginning that has no place for yesterday. Allow the balanced and soothing composition of powerful silence and concentration of this work to give you the motivation and confidence every day that you too can let your worries be carried away by the current of time. You just have to let them go.
