81-part work inspired by abstract painting, such as we find in Gerhard Richter.
From the temple roof of the Baladev Daujin Temple I took the always same section in always the same bird's eye view with 81 different apertures, filter techniques and exposure times. By mathematically matching the conditions, I was thus able to capture a new image each time.
The people in the pictures are always in motion, women playfully hitting men with their T-shirts, buckets of paint being poured out over everyone, there is boisterous celebration. However, they almost fade into the background: believers simultaneously blur under the colors thrown at the celebration and in the technique used. Partially detailed perceptible situations dissolve under the use of professional photographic craft, people are instrumentalized to brushstrokes.
