ANDRÉ WAGNER: VISIONS OF TIME (ENGLISH, GERMAN) HARDCOVER EDITION

Metaphysical Visions of Time and SpaceAndré Wagner (born 1980 in Burgstädt, lives and works in Berlin) has created a remarkable body of work over the past ten years. The young photographer takes up real (light) situations and creates picturesque poetic images through long exposures. With the camera, he is able to expand visual perception and the context of the image. Wagner's photographs reveal the process of artistic engagement with the contradictions of human existence: between deep connection with nature and the culture of industrial progress. This is evident both in his early fire drawings, which he writes in the night landscape like a self-portrait, and in his landscape portraits, which reflect on man and nature as a form of appearance. The first monograph on André Wagner, with texts by Thomas Bauer-Friedrich, Wibke von Bonin, Mindaugas Kavaliauskas, and Shri Sarvabhavana, is published to coincide with his participation in the 55th Biennale di Venezia.
